Our Naked Lives: Stories from Gay Italian American Men (forthcoming, 2011)

My partner, Michael Carosone, and I are writing and editing a collection of personal essays.  Gay Italian American men will be writing on their struggles with discrimination, stigma, identity, Roman Catholicism, familial issues, father-son conflicts, and masculinity.  You can join the Gay/Queer/GLBTQ Italian Americans Group on Facebook, Gay/Queer/GLBTQ Italian American's Facebook Page, to acquire more information on this book.

Overcoming Internalized Homophobia: Embracing the Real Me

My essay discusses the need for therapists to be educated and trained in affirmative psychotherapy and LGBTQ issues.  I engaged in therapy with two mental health professionals who were not trained in affirmative psychotherapy, which hindered them from making the connection between my mental health issues and internalized homophobia.
